Promoted to this position from Corporate Manufacturing Systems to direct the conversion of the operating systems and to formalize and improve the Information Systems function for the five divisions. Acted as a liaison between corporate MIS and the five-user division’s upper management. Prepared and secured approval of the departmental budget. Implemented standards and procedures to control inventory ordering for components affected by engineering changes thus reducing the on hand inventory by several million dollars.

Designed, developed and put in production several radio products. The first Engineer at Zenith to write computer programs to calculate resonance curves for both AM and FM frequencies in a circuit design using voltage variable capacitor. Was designated as the Engineering representative to participate in the first implementation of Computerized Inventory control and Bill of Material programs.
